The Tallulah River Watershed Council is a tax-qualified 501(c)(3) organization. It is staffed by non-paid local volunteers, and receives funding from local civic organizations and through tax-deductible contributions from interested citizens and residents. The TRWC derives its membership from the civic and community organizations that exist within the watershed. The strength of any organization lies directly in the capabilities of those who choose to support it, so volunteer opportunities are always available to people who strongly believe that achieving the mission of the TRWC is critically important to the quality of life in the watershed (volunteers may express their interest in participating in the "Contact Us" tab).
The TRWC is currently composed of four active task forces and members representing geographical sections of the watershed. The composition of the TRWC is further described in the Officers, Members and Task Forces page of the "Who We Are" tab.
